The note

The authors prepared a survey which they send to members of some scientific association. They checked what is the knowledge about metrics and bibliometrics.

They asked if the wiseness of metrics has an impact on how researchers promote their works.

The conclusion

A basic bibliometric knowledge should be a part of any doctoral studies. However, being too attached to the metrics could slow an innovation and the new research ideas.
